If you plan simply to hang out at your hotel or condo, walk to the nearest beach, and eat at restaurants in the hotel or within a short distance of your condo, you may not have to rent a car on Maui. Convenient airport transportation can take you to your accommodations, and you can call a taxicab for an occasional shopping, sightseeing, or entertainment excursion.
